Civic Enhancement

GAR Foundation cares about the vitality and civic strength of Akron, Summit County, and Northeast Ohio. We have supported a wide variety of causes through our civic enhancement grants. While we intend to remain responsive to exciting opportunities that arise, we will orient much of our civic enhancement grant making around the following three categories:

  • Enhance the economic strength of Akron and Northeast Ohio;
  • Improve vibrancy of place; and
  • Support community development.
