GAR Foundation has long taken an interest in the nonprofit sector’s effectiveness and efficiency in serving the community. Historically, GAR has advanced several major proactive initiatives in this area, seeking to improve its own effectiveness and that of its many nonprofit partners. The grants we make are only one small part of what we do to advance nonprofit enhancement; our efforts in this area also take the shape of convening, facilitating collaboration among nonprofits, disseminating information, and providing technical assistance to grantees and other partners.

Using all of these tools, GAR Foundation will pursue the following nonprofit enhancement strategies:

  • Support the efficiency and effectiveness of GAR grantees and applicants
  • Support the efficiency and effectiveness of Summit County’s nonprofit sector
