In a collaborative effort, GAR Foundation, Akron Community Foundation, Burton D. Morgan Foundation, and Knight Foundation have joined hands to establish the ArtsForward grant program, overseen by ArtsNow in consultation with community partners. While the grant application window for 2023 has closed, ArtsNow is optimistic that they will be able to offer the program again in 2024.

We are excited to share that these funds have the potential to be renewed for the next four years, provided ArtsNow can successfully raise a matching amount of $750,000 – an annual goal of $250,000. This initiative invites project proposals from across Summit County, with the requirement being an alignment with the community-drive Akron/Summit Cultural Plan, and to create a positive impact on our vibrant Summit County communities.

Round One: Applications for round one are now closed. Applicants will be notified of their submission status in mid-August. If you have questions about this opportunity, please reach out to [email protected].

Round Two: The application will require additional details for applicants approved to move on to the second round. The strategic community investment committee will want to ensure your partners are secured, a budget is developed and finalized, and a timeline is complete.
